Goalkeeper Emmalynn Francis Joins Women’s Lacrosse Roster

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team continues its busy offseason, adding its third transfer as Emmalynn Francis has joined the program out of the transfer portal, head coach Amy Altig announced on Wednesday. Francis, a goalkeeper from Irondequoit, New York, comes to the Fightin' Blue Hens after playing her freshman season at Ohio State.

Bio: Four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain at Irondequoit High School… Named Monroe County Defensive Player of the Year as a senior… Two-time First Team All-Monroe County selection (2024, 2025), after being a second team honoree in 2023… Named First Team All-Greater Rochester in 2025 and was on the watchlist in 2023 and 2024… Two-time Section 5 All-Tournament Team (2023, 2025)… Set Irondequoit records for single-season save percentage (.486) and saves (125) and single-game saves (15)… Was a 2025 US Lacrosse Academic All-American and Senior All-Star MVP… Also played for Relentless Hustle and Monster Elite club programs… In the classroom, was a four-time scholar-athlete recipient.
