Women’s Lacrosse Adds Avery Olschefskie to Roster

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team added its fourth transfer of the offseason, bringing Avery Olschefskie into the program, head coach Amy Altig announced on Wednesday. Olschefskie, a midfielder from Glastonbury, Connecticut, comes to the Fightin' Blue Hens after playing in 35 games over the past two seasons at Niagara.

Bio: Four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain at Glastonbury High School… Helped lead Glastonbury to conference championships in 2021 and 2022… Three-time all-conference and all-state selection (2022-24)… Named a USA Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2024… Finished high school career with 138 goals and 39 assists… Played club lacrosse for Nor'easter Lacrosse Club (2019-23)… Also played three years of field hockey, earned all-conference and all-state honors, and three years of track & field… Grandfather, James Mackintosh, played soccer and baseball at Mitchell College… In the classroom, was a high honor roll student and a member of the National Honors Society.
