Men’s Golf Earns PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Delaware men's golf team has been named a recipient of the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Wednesday. The Fightin' Blue Hens were one of a GCAA-record 331 programs across six divisions to be recognized and one of 88 Division I teams to earn Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
The men's golf team boasted a 3.67 team GPA for the 2025-26 academic year, the second-highest in the UD athletic department and the best among men's programs. Earlier this month, the Blue Hens had a program-record six student-athletes – Arsit Areephun, Jeffrey Homer, Matthew Homer, Ikk Iampongsai, Caleb Itzoe and Aryan Vuradi – selected as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
