The University of Delaware is excited to announce the addition of Chris Bresnahan to the Blue Hens baseball coaching staff. Head Coach Greg Mamula confirmed that Bresnahan will take on the role of Recruiting Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record in collegiate baseball.
Bresnahan joins the Blue Hens after 10 seasons at UNC Asheville, where he served as the Bulldogs’ Recruiting Coordinator. A tireless recruiter, Bresnahan was instrumental in recruiting Asheville’s all-time HR leader (Brandon Lankford 52 HRs), all-time save leader (Kole Harris 17 saves) and 2024 Big South Preseason Player of the Year (Robbie Burnett). In recognition of his contributions, Bresnahan was promoted to Associate Head Coach prior to the 2022 season.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris, his wife Melissa and son Cameron to Delaware,” said Coach Mamula. “His extensive experience in recruiting and player development will be invaluable as we continue to build a championship program at the University of Delaware.”
Bresnahan’s appointment is expected to enhance the Blue Hens’ recruiting efforts and player development. His commitment to excellence and ability to identify and develop talent align perfectly with the program’s goals.
A New Jersey native, Bresnahan was a four year letter-winner and team captain at Elon University where he helped lead the Phoenix to two NCAA Regionals (2010 & 2013). He was named to the Charlottesville, VA all-region team in 2013.Â
