Kirby Lynch

Kirby is currently the Spirit Coordinator and Head All Girl Cheer Coach at the University of Delaware after being promoted to the full-time spirit coordinator role in July 2024. She began as an assistant cheer coach with the Blue Hens in 2017-18 and served as the Head Mascot Coach from 2017-2021.
During her tenure in Newark, she has helped UD win six-consecutive UCA Game Day National Championships (2019-2024) and a UCA Mascot National Champimp (2019), along with third-place finishes in the All Girl DI Division (2021 & 2022) and a pair of second-place finished in the Open Mascot Division (2018 & 2020).

Prior to accepting the full-time role at UD, Lynch also worked as the Varsity State Director for New York, where she worked with high school teams to sign up for national competitions.

Before joining the Blue Hens, Lynch was the Assistant Cheer Coach for Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. In 2017, Lynch aided Carmel in winning the State Championship in both traditional and game day divisions.

From 2012-2016, the Carmel, Indiana native worked with Universal Cheerleaders Association as a Core Staff Member and College Instructor, teaching cheerleading and stunts from the beginner to elite levels, as well as collaborating with her fellow instructors to create unique routines to showcase.

Lynch graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a degree in kinesiology. She was a cheerleader while at Indiana, helping lead her team to four national championships at the UCA College Cheerleading Competition.

Along with being a member of the IU Cheer Team, Lynch was selected to be part of the USA National All-Girl team representing the United States in the ICU World Cheerleading Championship. During her last two years, Lynch was selected as a Team Captain. With her help, USA went on to win the World Championships from 2012-2016.
