Prior to joining the coaching staff, Griffin worked with the team through instruction of a Physical and Mental Training (PMT) program, which aims to develop and cultivate student-athletes in the areas of physical conditioning and strength, personal development, leadership, extended focus, grit and resiliency.
Griffin has more than 20 years of law enforcement experience and is currently a captain with the Delaware State Police (D.S.P.) as the Director of Training at the D.S.P. Training Academy.
In addition to her career in law enforcement, Griffin is also a certified instructor in the State of Delaware, an instructor at the Delaware State Police Training Academy, as well as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Delaware. At the University of Delaware, she currently teaches three different classes which include: CRJU 110-Introductions to Criminal Justice Systems, CRJU 367 Criminal Justice Ethics, and CRJU 201 Problems of Law Enforcement.
The Warriors Mark, Pa. native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Millersville University in 1999, where she was a four-year starter for women's basketball team. She then received a Master of Science in Administration of Justice with specializations in Leadership and Management in 2003, a Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate from Wilmington University in 2016 and a Doctorate degree with expertise in Gender and Deviance from the University of Delaware in 2013.
She and her husband, Stephen, have a daughter, Brooke.
