She served as the team's field captain her senior season and represented the Blue Devils in the NFHCA Division I Senior Game after leading Duke to its fourth consecutive NCAA Quarterfinals appearance. She capped off her career by being honored with the Stef Fee Duke True Award for her display of all-around leadership, work ethic and dedication to Duke field hockey.
Off the field, Bitting earned a spot on the Dean's List, ACC Academic Honor Roll and NFHCA National Academic Squad during each of her four seasons. She was recognized as an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction in her freshman and junior campaigns. She served internship roles with student-athlete development, marketing, sports information and compliance in the Duke athletic department. Additionally, she served as an event chair for the annual Duke STARS program and was a mentor for the First Year ACTION program, and was a member of the Duke Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well.
Bitting also served in multiple key roles as a staff member and coach at Duke Field Hockey camps in Durham, as well as a performance coach at Powertrain Sports and Fitness in her home state of Pennsylvania.
