At Delaware: Fourth- team member • expected to start again in the Blue Hen outfield and bat in the middle of the order • all-conference candidate • enters her senior season ranked third in Delaware history with 13 career home runs and seventh with 21 stolen bases • has recorded 80 hits, 46 runs scored, 11 doubles and 51 RBI while batting .237 for her career.
2012 Season: Started the first 40 games of the season before suffering an ACL injury against Hofstra on April 7 • ranked third on the team with a .243 batting average • posted 28 hits, eight runs scored, three doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI • batted .400 during her eight CAA games • tied for third on the Blue Hens with eight multi-hit games • hit safely in six of the first seven games of the year • went 2 for 3 with a double and two stolen bases against Binghamton (2/17) • drilled a two-run homer during the 6-4 win over Florida Gulf Coast (2/18) • finished 2 for 3 with a home run against La Salle (3/16) • went 2 for 3 with a pair of runs scored versus Delaware State (3/21) • blasted a three-run homer at Towson (3/25) • had four hits during the weekend series versus George Mason • earned Operation Blue Hen Spirit Award.
2011 Season: Named second team All-Colonial Athletic Association as a catcher • drilled nine home runs, the second most in a UD single season and tied for fourth in the league • also led the Blue Hens with 31 RBI, tied for fourth most in a single season, and 14 stolen bases, fifth in a single season • posted a team-high 10 multi-RBI games while batting .257 on the season • appeared in all 55 games while staring 52, including 45 behind the plate • recorded an eight-game hitting streak from April 20 through May 1, the second longest streak by a Blue Hen during the season • threw out 19 baserunners attempting to steal • had four hits, four RBI, two home runs and four runs scored during a doubleheader sweep of Hampton (3/1) • scored the only run of the game during UD’s 1-0 victory over Saint Francis (3/13) • finished 2 for 4 with two RBI, two runs scored an a homer versus Temple (3/15) • also hit homers during the next two games against Ball State and Georgetown (3/18) • had two hits and a run scored at Delaware State (3/22) • recorded a double, two RBI and two runs scored versus the Hornets (3/30) • went 2 for 3 with a home run and two runs scored at Drexel (4/30) • delivered a two-run double to tie the game and scored the winning run during the bottom of the sixth inning in Delaware’s victory over Towson (5/7).
2010 Season: Appeared in and started 32 games as Delaware's catcher (missed 19 games with mono) • batted .190 on the year with 15 hits and 12 runs scored • went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI during the 9-7 win at Lehigh (4/21) • delivered a two-run single in the Blue Hens' 7-4 victory over Drexel (4/24) • posted a pair of singles against George Mason (5/7) • drilled first career home run at Towson (5/2) • drove home the only run of the game with an infield single during the Blue Hens' 1-0 victory at UNC Wilmington (4/17) • had a hit and two runs scored during the 5-4 triumph over the Seahawks later that day • posted a two-run game-tying triple vs. UMBC (3/9) • threw out six baserunners trying to steal on the season.
High School: Four-year starter on softball team at York Community High School • three-time All-WSC conference and three-time All-Area selection • named honorable mention once • school's all-time leader in doubles, home runs and stolen bases • served as team captain • played two years of volleyball at York Community • earned four letters as a manager for the wrestling team • honor roll student • earned Heisman award for physical education department.
Personal: Gina Elizabeth Knutson ("kuh-noot-son") • daughter of Frank and Susan Knutson • has two sisters, Kimberly and Kaylee • sport management major at Delaware with a minor in landscape horticulture and design • has worked with the City of Elmhurst Public Works - Forestry Division over the last two summers.
