At Delaware: Third-year member of the Blue Hens after transferring from Delaware Tech Junior College • will be a key member of the Delaware pitching staff.
2012 Season: Went 5-7 with a 4.40 earned run average in 30 appearances in the circle • made 20 starts and posted seven complete games • allowed one run on five hits during the 2-1 win over Presbyterian to earn her first career victory as a Blue Hen (2/11) • gave up three runs, two earned, to pick up a win over George Mason (3/31) • surrendered two unearned runs to earn a victory over Saint Peter’s (4/4) • allowed just one unearned run and delivered an RBI single during the 4-1 win at Rider (4/11) • fired four scoreless innings against Drexel (5/4).
2011 Season: Appeared in 16 games while starting 14 for the Blue Hens, compiling an 0-9 record with a 5.68 earned run average • allowed one run on two hits in 3.1 innings during a non-league victory over Towson (3/5) • gave up two runs in a complete game effort against Robert Morris (3/19) • allowed one run on four hits in four innings at George Mason (3/26) • fired 3.1 scoreless frames during a win over UNC Wilmington (4/22) • tossed a pair of scoreless frames in a triumph over Penn (4/27).
At Delaware Tech: Went 12-4 in the circle during the 2010 season for Delaware Tech-Owens.
High School: Played four years on the volleyball, basketball and softball teams at Greenwood Mennonite School • four-year All-Conference selection in softball • led team to a pair of conference championship games • named All-Conference in volleyball during senior year • served as team captain for volleyball and softball teams as a senior • school valedictorian • participated in student government • part of the school chorale from ninth through 11th grade.
Personal: Hannah Rebekah Rust • daughter of Bill and Christine Rust • has brothers Billy and David, and a sister, Sarah • both Billy and Sarah are UD graduates • exercise science major at Delaware with a concentration in exercise physiology.
