A decorated Division II swimmer, Alexis Walley enters her third season as part of the Blue Hens swimming & diving programs in 2020-21.Â
In her role with Delaware, Walley works closely with both the men's and women's swimmers and has helped the program move up the CAA rankings in her short time on staff.Â
Prior to Newark, Walley spent three seasons as an assistant swim coach and recruiting coordinator with her alma mater, Division II West Chester University. With the Golden Rams she played a role in coaching a pair of NCAA Champions and nine All-Americans, along with countless conference champions.Â
During her time as a student-athlete, Walley was part of four consecutive PSAC Championship teams and was a two-time All-American. She claimed the conference's freshman of the year honor in 2012 and was crowned the individual champion of the 1000-yard freestyle that same year.Â
Walley earned a pair of degrees from West Chester, graduating with a bachelors in nutrition and dieteics in 2015 before earning her masters in community nutrition in 2017.Â
