Jake Hervada joined the Delaware men's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant in August of 2022. Hervada was a member of the Blue Hens Men's Lacrosse program from 2016-21. On the field, he was a three-time captain. He was a 2021 USILA Senior All-Star Game selection and a member of the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Regular Season Championship team. He ranks eighth in Blue Hens history in faceoff wins with 306. He is 1 of 10 former Blue Hens to reach over 300 faceoff wins. He also recorded the second fastest goal in program history to start a game, at :06 seconds, against Towson on April 16, 2016.Â
Off the field, he was a member of the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll honors from 2018-2020. In addition, he was a two-time Dean's List recipient, he was the program's first-ever recipient of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholarship award, which honors one undergraduate student in each sport nationally who has excelled in the classroom (3.5+ GPA) as well as on the athletic field while demonstrating a commitment to community service and student leadership. He also was a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success Delaware chapter. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in History, as well as two graduate-level degrees, including a Master of Science in International Business and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).Â
