Delaware Men's Basketball To Appear on Television Six Times, Women Twice During 2011-12 Regular Season

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team will appear on television six times while the women will appear twice during the 2011-12 regular season, as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its basketball broadcast schedule Tuesday at the league's Media Day.
The Blue Hen men will open their conference schedule on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. against rival and preseason favorite Drexel in a game that will be televised by The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet New England. Delaware's 4 p.m. game at William & Mary on Saturday, Jan. 7 will be shown by Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic, while the Blue Hens' home contest the following Saturday at 4 p.m. against 2011 Final Four participant VCU will be broadcast by The Comcast Network.
The Comcast Network will also televise Delaware's 2 p.m. game at Drexel on Saturday, Jan. 28, the 2 p.m. contest at James Madison on Saturday, Feb. 4, and the regular season finale 12 noon home game versus Northeastern on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet New England will broadcast all four CAA Tournament quarterfinal games on Saturday, Mar. 3, as well as both semifinal games the following day. The CAA Championship on Monday, Mar. 5 will be shown live by either ESPN or ESPN2.
Additionally, Delaware's game at George Mason on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. will be available online at ESPN3.com.
The Blue Hen women's home game against Drexel on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 3:30 p.m. will be broadcast by Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic, while the 7 p.m. contest at James Madison on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. will be televised by The Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.
The Comcast Network will broadcast the CAA Tournament semifinals on Saturday, Mar. 10 while Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Mid-Atlantic and New England will televise the championship game at 12:30 p.m. the following day.
Dates and times are subject to change, and more television games could be added at a later date.
