University of Delaware Men's Golf Incoming Freshman Kyle Martin Wins A Pair of Tournaments

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware men's golf incoming freshman Kyle Martin turned in a pair of impressive performances this week by earning two tournament victories.
On Monday Martin, a native of Ambler, Pa., captured the Philadelphia Junior Tour event at nearby Wilmington Country Club by firing an even par 71 on the North Course, finishing first out of 46 players. Martin posted an eagle on the fifth hole to move to one under for the round, and was still just one over following a front nine of 36. He fell to two over through 12 but after a birdie on 13, posted four pars and a birdie on 18 to finish the back nine in 35.
The following day Martin earned another victory on the tour, winning the Harry Hammond Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, Pa. He carded a one over par 72 on the course, winning the tournament by two strokes. Martin opened his round with a birdie, while another birdie on five moved him to one under for the day. Following two bogeys and a par, Martin posted his third birdie of the round to finish the front nine at even par 36. He then bogeyed the 10th hole, but concluded his round with eight pars to finish at 36-36-72.
