Freshman Erika Brown Tabbed CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware freshman Erika Brown (Haledon, N.J.) was named Monday as the Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball Rookie of the Week.

Brown averaged 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two Blue Hens (4-1) wins this past week. Additionally, the guard tallied a career-high three assists and four of Delaware's 10 three-pointers against Monmouth.

For the season, Brown is third on the Blue Hens with 10.8 points in 20.6 minutes per game.

James Madison's Precious Hall earned CAA Player of the Week honors.

Delaware travels to the Sunshine State this week to take on SIU Edwardsville (Saturday, 12:30 p.m.) and Howard (Sunday, 12:30 p.m.) in the UCF Thanksgiving Classic.
