Delaware Men's Soccer to Host First-Ever CAA Tournament Quarterfinal Match

In the regular season, No. 5 Northeastern earned a 2-0 victory over No. 4 Delaware at Parson's Field in Brookline, Mass.
The Blue Hens made their last CAA post-season tournament appearance in 2011. Delaware, which was also ranked fourth in 2011, went on to win the CAA Championship and earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Hens defeated University of Virginia, 2-1 in overtime in the 1st round of NCAA's before falling to top-seeded UCLA, 1-0 in the second round.
Admission will be free to Saturday evening's match.
The upcoming weekend will be filled with excitement on the University of Delaware campus. The Hens football program is hosting CAA rival William & Mary, Saturday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m.. The Delaware field hockey earned its first CAA regular season championship and will host the conference tournament on Friday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 10.
“It is probably the most exciting home weekend I have ever been part of at UD with ourselves, field hockey, and football all vying for NCAA slots,” said Hennessy.
