Delaware Volleyball Assistant Coach Doug English Tabbed as New Head Coach at Northwest Nazarene

A search to replace English will begin immediately.
During his two seasons in Newark, English helped Delaware continue its outstanding success as the Blue Hens posted a combined record of 37-27 (20-6 in Colonial Athletic Association action), captured the the CAA Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and finished as CAA Tournament runner-up this past fall.
Prior to coming to Delaware, English served as an assistant coach at George Washington University for two seasons in 2009-10, leading the Colonials to an Atlantic 10 Tournament berth in 2009.
The La Crescenta, Calif. native has also served as an assistant coach at Boise State, Fordham, and Loyola Marymount. He is a 2004 graduate of Cal State Northridge where he was a four-year starter and a 2003 All-American libero.
