First Home Tournament Highlights University of Delaware Women's Golf 2013 Fall Schedule

For the third consecutive season Delaware opens its fall slate at the Tignanelli Towson Invitational at Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md, as the Blue Hens will kick off their campaign on Sept. 8-9. The following weekend UD will head to Williamsburg, Va. to participate in the William & Mary Invitational at Kingsmill Resort on Sept. 15-17.
After a month off, the Blue Hens will again compete in the Rutgers Invitational at Rutgers Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J. on Oct. 14-15, before heading back to the Florida International/Pat Bradley Invitational at Lakewood Ranch Golf Course in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. on Oct. 20-22.
The Blue Hens will wrap up their fall schedule on Oct. 26-27, hosting the University of Delaware Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. That invitational will be the first tournament Delaware has hosted in the three-year history of the program.
The Blue Hens, led by third-year head coach Patty Post, are looking to build off a successful 2012-13 campaign that saw Delaware post six top-10 finishes including placing fifth at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.UD returns five letterwinners from last year's squad including Amanda Terzian, the UD Alumni Association Team MVP who led the squad with an 80.76 stroke average. Vimonthip Benjasupawan, the only Blue Hen to appear in all 11 tournaments a year ago, averaged 81.37 shots per round, while Baralee Theinthong ranked third on the team with an 81.63 stroke average.
