University of Delaware Women's Golfer Vimonthip Benjasupawan Wins Thailand A-Class Open

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women's golfer Vimonthip Benjasupawan won the Thailand A-Class Open last week at the Kabin Buri Sport Club in Prachin Buri, Thailand.
Benjasupawan, a native of Bangkok, Thailand, carded a one over par 75-70-145 during the tournament on July 13-14, posting a commanding eight-shot victory. Benjasupawan, who will be a sophomore with the Blue Hens this fall, posted four birdies during her second round at championship. Rising junior Baralee Theinthong, her Delaware teammate and fellow Bangkok native, also competed at the open, finishing in sixth place with a 13 over par score of 80-77-157.
Additionally, incoming UD freshman Vitoria Teixeira competed in the Brazilian Amateur earlier this month, posting a fifth place finish at the tournament after carding an 80-79-74-73-306. This week Teixeira will head to Canada to represent Brazil in the Canadian Women's Amateur Championship at the Beloeil Golf Club in Beloeil, Quebec.Players Mentioned
