PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware women's tennis squad claimed two titles Sunday afternoon at the Saint Joseph's Invitational as sophomore Nataliya Naumova (Moscow, Russia) won the Singles Flight 2 championship and senior Dorothy Safron (New York, N.Y.) paired with sophomore Carmen Lai (Shatin, Hong Kong) for the Doubles Flight 1 championship.

Naumova opened play Sunday with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-8, win over Temple's Rebecca Breland before defeating Marcela Rosales from Drexel, 6-1, 6-3.

Safron and Lai also went 2-0 on the day to claim their title by picking up 8-6 victories over both Fairfield (Carolina Koladzyn/Monica Yajima) and SJU (Aurora Davis/Kristina Eisenbrand).

HEN SCRATCHINGS
     ·          Sophomore Nataliya Naumova claimed the Flight 2 Championship – her first title of the season.
     ·          Naumova has tied a career-best four-match winning streak.
     ·          Senior Dorothy Safron and sophomore Carmen Lai also claimed their first Doubles Championship of the season in Flight 1 action.
     ·          Safron and Lai are one win shy of their career-best five match winning streak, set last season.
     ·          Safron and Lai are 6-1 in doubles play this season.
     ·          Safron is 54-32 all-time in doubles action, a total good for 10^th in Delaware history.
     ·          Delaware is 33-28 in singles play this season.
     ·          Delaware is 15-9 in doubles play this season.
