NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team will return to action Wednesday as the Blue Hens host Hofstra in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup.
Delaware (8-4, 1-1 CAA) comes into Wednesday's game having lost its last two home games and was shutout in both contests.
The Blue Hens' 1-1 conference mark leaves them in seventh place in the CAA standings. Only the top six teams at the end of the season will advance to the conference tournament.

Joe Dipre is second on the team with four goals, while Tobias Müller has accounted for three goals this season. Despite their recent offensive struggles, the Blue Hens' 25 goals this season still leads the CAA and ranks them 15th in the NCAA.
The Pride (7-3-2, 2-0 CAA) comes into Wednesday's matchup having won five games in a row and has not given up a goal during the winning streak. Hofstra defeated William and Mary and Elon in its first two CAA games. The Pride is 5-2-1 in road games this season and is receiving votes in the College Soccer News national rankings.
Maid Memic leads Hofstra with five goals, while Joseph Holland leads the Pride and CAA with seven assists on the season. Hofstra goalkeeper Patric Pray leads the CAA with a .827 save percentage. Pray is third in the conference with 43 saves and second in the CAA with five shutouts this season.
Wednesday's game will be 26th meeting between the Pride and Blue Hens. The first contest took place in 1985 and Hofstra leads the all-time series 13-11-1. Delaware won the last meeting between the two programs last season as the Blue Hens defeated the Pride 2-1 in overtime.
