University of Delaware Junior Vimonthip Benjasupawan Named CAA Women's Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior Vimonthip Benjasupawan was named the Colonial Athletic Association women's golfer of the week, the league announced Wednesday.
Benjasupawan (Bangkok, Thailand/American School of Bangkok) carded a 13 over par 77-74-78-229 on the par 72, 6,128-yard Springdale Golf Club course over the weekend, tying for 13th place in the individual standings of the Princeton Invitational.
Benjasupawan helped the Blue Hens to a sixth place team finish at the tournament, the squad's third top 10 finish in as many events this fall.
The 13th place finish was the highest of the season for Benjasupawan, who currently ranks third on the team with a 78.13 average round this year. She becomes the second Blue Hen to earn CAA Women's Golfer of the Week accolades this fall, along with Nathalie Filler who was honored on Sept. 10.
Benjasupawan and the Blue Hens will participate in the University of Delaware Invitational this Saturday and Sunday at the Rehoboth Beach (Del.) Country Club.
