Rachel Lee Tied For Fifth, Blue Hens Seventh After First Day of FIU Pat Bradley Invitational

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- Blue Hen freshman Rachel Lee is tied for fifth place in the individual standings while the University of Delaware women's golf team is seventh in the team standings following Sunday's opening round of the 37th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational.
The Blue Hens recorded a team score of 310 on Sunday, ending the day in seventh place out of 13 squads. Memphis leads the field with a 288 score, while Daytona State is second at 294 and FIU sits in third place at 295.
Lee, playing as an individual, carded an even par 72 on the par 72, 6,288-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf Course to finish the day tied for fifth place. Lee birdied 7 and 17 during her round while adding 14 pars to shoot 72, her lowest round of the season.
Andi SlaneSophomore Vitoria Teixeira birdied 8 and 18 during her eight over par opening round 80 to end the day tied for 41st place, while classmate Nathalie Filler is tied for 58th place following her 11 over par 83.
Michaela Fletcher of Memphis leads the field after carding a three under par 69 on Sunday.
The second round of the tournament will take place on Monday, before the final round on Tuesday.
