LAST TIME OUT
After dropping the season opener in disappointing fashion and then losing a teammate to injury, the Blue Hens had all the motivation in the world Sunday afternoon as Delaware picked up a 70-60 win over #rv Marist in the home opener. The mood was somber throughout the Bob following the end of the first half as junior Alecia Bell left the game on a stretcher. Bell's teammates would not let this get them down, as they knew they had to 'win for Alecia.' Delaware (1-1) finished out the remaining four minutes of the half and led, 37-24, at the break. The Blue Hens went up by as much as 16 in the second half but UD would not let them get within less than seven points en route to victory. Erika Brown led UD with 21 points in addition to three rebounds and three assists. Courtni Green added 13 points and five rebounds while Chastity Taylor made her Delaware debut with an impressive 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Joy Caracciolo brought down a game-best 13 rebounds while chipping in eight points.
HEN SCRATCHINGS
· Freshman Chastity Taylor was named the CAA Rookie of the Week after shining in her Blue Hens' debut Sunday.
· After opening the season Friday scoreless from behind the arc, the Blue Hens tallied nine three-pointers against Marist. The last time UD recorded at least six treys came on Nov. 19, 2013 when the Hens went 10-for-22 against Marist.

· Delaware leads the all-time series against ECU, 1-0.
· The lone matchup between the two teams came on Dec. 28, 2011 when the Blue Hens collected a 60-40 victory over the Pirates at the Maryland Terrapin Classic.

· Heather Macy is in her fifth season at the helm of the ECU women's basketball program.
