Delaware struggled in all areas Friday afternoon as the Blue Hens dropped an 89-60 matchup to East Carolina at Minges Coliseum. UD (1-2) committed 27 turnovers, which resulted in 31 total points for the Pirates (4-0). Additionally, ECU overpowered the Hens and recorded 38 points in the paint and 13 second chance points. Courtni Green registered a season-best 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor with seven free throws. She added a team-best four assists with five rebounds in the loss. Erika Brown scored in double figures for the third time this year with 10 points while Makeda Nicholas collected a team-high seven rebounds in addition to six points, two steals, and one assist.

SERIES INFORMATION
· UD leads the all-time series against Fordham, 2-1, since the first meeting on Dec. 29, 1988.
· The Rams won that first matchup, 82-66, at Villanova, but the Blue Hens have prevailed for two straight victories.
· Delaware defeated Fordham, 60-56, on Dec. 7, 2005, on
the road and 66-42 on Dec. 22, 2006 at the Bob.
· Martin is 2-0 over the Rams
· In just three seasons at the helm of the Rams, Stephanie Gaitley has transformed Fordham from a perennial doormat into a national power, compiling consecutive 25-win seasons and bringing home the school's first-ever Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship last season.
· Gaitley is 65-37 in her fourth season with the Rams and 529-307 overall in 29 seasons as a head coach. She previously coached at Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Long Island and Monmouth.
