RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware senior Amanda Terzian has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Terzian (Haverford, Pa./Episcopal Academy) finished in fifth place at the 37th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational Sunday through Tuesday by carding a one over par score of 76-72-69-217, the lowest three-round total in Blue Hen history.
Terzian's round of 69 on Tuesday was the lowest round in the four-year history of the program by two strokes. She recorded five birdies during the record-setting round on the par 72, 6,288-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf Course, including four in a five-hole stretch from the 12th through the 16th holes.
Terzian, who posted her second top-five finish in as many tournaments this fall, led Delaware to a fifth place team finish at the invitational. She is the third Blue Hen to earn CAA Women's Golfer of the Week accolades this season, along with Nathalie Filler on Sept. 10 and Vimonthip Benjasupawan on Oct. 22.
Terzian and the Blue Hens wrapped up their fall season at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, and begin their 2015 spring campaign on Mar. 1-3 at the Edwin Watts/College of Charleston Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C.
