Reigning Champion UD Field Hockey Vies For Fourth CAA Title Sunday Versus James Madison

DEDHAM, Mass. – The reigning Colonial Athletic Association Champion University of Delaware field hockey squad seeks its second straight title, and fourth in the last 11 years, Sunday as the second-seeded Blue Hens take on fourth-seeded James Madison University at Northeastern's Dedham Field.
UD looks to become the first league team to win back-to-back CAA rings since former conference member Old Dominion accomplished the feat from 2010-11.

Jacki Coveleski (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) collected the game-winning goal in the 98th minute as the Blue Hens extended their league-winning streak.
Rolf van de Kerkhofis in his fourth season at the helm of the Blue Hens. Van de Kerkhof, the 2013 NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year and CAA Co-Coach of the Year, is 46-36 (.561) at Delaware.
· Christy Morgan is in her second tenure as the head coach at James Madison after rejoining the program in January. Friday's semifinal win marked her 150th career victory.
ABOUT JAMES MADISON
The Dukes (12-7) are making their first trip to the CAA title game since 2008 when James Madison defeated Old Dominion, 1-0, for its third consecutive CAA Championship. JMU advanced to Sunday's final following a 3-0 win over No. 18 Northeastern Friday. Junior Loes Stijntjes, a First Team All-CAA honoree, leads the Dukes with 33 points on 14 goals and five assists while Second Team selection Taylor West has posted 31 points on 12 goals and seven assists. Senior Dana Allaband was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Classmate Hannah George has appeared in 18 games for JMU with 71 saves (.696) and 1.88 goals allowed.
