Delgado, who earlier this year was named the CAA Player of the Year and a first team NSCAA All-Midwest Region selection, ranked among the national leaders in scoring this season as he tallied 12 goals and dished out 2 assists for 26 points. He ranked No. 13 among all NCAA Division I players in goals per game (0.63) and No. 21 in points per game (1.37) and his six game-winning goals ranked tied for third overall.
He led an offense that averaged 2.05 goals per game to lead the CAA and rank No. 8 in the nation. The Hens scored in 17 of their 20 games and tallied two or more goals 14 times. Delaware ranked No. 2 in the nation in scoring in 2013 when the Blue Hens averaged 2.25 per game on the way to an NCAA Tournament appearance.
In just two seasons at Delaware, Delgado has scored 27 goals in 39 total games and ranks tied for third all-time at Delaware in total goals with two seasons left to play.
Delgado was one of just eight sophomores and one of just eight repeat selections to the All-American team. He was also one of just two CAA players to earn national honors, joining UNCW senior midfielder Jamie Dell who also earned third team honors.
