UD held the momentum in the final minutes of the game, but the Blue Hens were unable to complete a comeback Friday evening in a 63-58 loss to Northern Kentucky at Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena.Hannah Jardine led all scorers with a career-high 18 points in addition to five free throws in 35 minutes played. Courtni Green contributed 12 points, five rebounds and a team-best four assists and three steals for Delaware (4-5). The Norse (7-5) held a 13-point advantage just five minutes in to the second half before the Blue Hens chipped away at the lead and came within three at 48-45 off a fast break jumper from Green at 10:11. With less than four minutes remaining, Green knocked down two free throws to cut NKU's lead to 58-56. The Blue Hens would never get closer as the Norse recorded five free throws to just two for Delaware in the final minute.
HEN SCRATCHINGS
· Sophomore Hannah Jardine had a career night Friday against the Norse by posting 18 points, including going 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Her previous career-high of 15 points was set in Delaware's win over Bucknell on December 7.
· UD is 0-2 in games this season when they register at least 20 free throws. The Hens posted a season-high 22 at Lafayette (L, 63-52) in the season opener and then collected 20 in a 63-58 loss to Northern Kentucky Friday.

SERIES INFORMATION
· This is the first-ever meeting between Delaware and Cincinatti in program history.
· The two teams have common opponents this season in Northern Kentucky and Temple.
· Delaware fell to NKU, 63-58, and defeated Temple, 69-58, on December 3. Cincinnati lost to NKU, 66-52, and will not face Temple until American Athletic Conference play in January.
· Martin has never faced the Norse.
