STORYLINES
• Delaware is looking for its first win of the year, having opened a season with six consecutive losses for the seventh time in school history. UD is looking to avoid an 0-7 start for just the fifth time in school history.
• The Blue Hens shot under 32 percent in each of the first five games this season, but dramatically improved upon that vs. Army by shooting 46.9 percent during the home opener.
• Delaware also scored a season-high 69 points against the Black Knights, easily surpassing the previous high of 60 set at Cal Poly.
• Maurice Jeffers established career-highs vs. Army by posting nine points and eight rebounds. Freshman Chivarsky Corbett (11 points) and Skye Johnson (5 points) each set their season-highs, while Eric Carter tied his season-bests with 6 points and 5 boards.
• Cazmon Hayes scored a team-high 14 points, and has reached double figures in all six games this season. He has led UD in scoring during all but one game, and ranks sixth in the CAA with a 16.2 scoring average.
• Kory Holden tied his season-high with 13 points, and is tied for third in the league with 4.0 assists per game.
• Delaware leads the all-time series with Delaware State 11-3, and has won five of the seven meetings in Newark. Last season UD posted an 80-70 triumph over the Hornets in Dover.
