Junior Caitlin McCartney Named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week

In Friday's loss to James Madison, McCartney caused a game- and career-high five turnovers in addition to collecting a team-best four groundballs.
For the week, McCartney posted five groundballs, two draw controls and five caused turnovers. Offensively, the junior collected four goals and two assists for six points.
McCartney has now recorded at least one point in 44 consecutive contests and leads the Blue Hens with 36 goals.
Kateri LinvilleMcCartney shared Defensive Player of the Week honors with Lexi Cross (James Madison) as Towson's Ashleigh Rohrback earned Player of the Week accolades. Michelle Gildea (Towson) was named the Rookie of the Week.
Delaware will conclude the regular season on Tuesday, April 22 as the Blue Hens host No. 17 Stony Brook at 5 p.m.
