Marszal’s 10 Points Leads Women’s Lacrosse Past Queen to Clinch ASUN Top Seed

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jaclyn Marszal set new career highs with eight assists and 10 points to lead the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team to a comfortable 19-7 victory over Queens on Thursday afternoon in an Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference game. With the win, the Fightin' Blue Hens have clinched at least a share of the ASUN regular season title and the No. 1 seed at the upcoming 2026 ASUN Championship.
Delaware has now won 10-consecutive games and improves to 11-4 overall and 7-0 in ASUN play, while Queens falls to 3-11 on the season and 3-4 in conference action.

HENS HIGHLIGHTS
- J. Marszal paced the offense with her two goals and eight assists.
- Ella Rishko had a team-high four goals and hauled in seven draw controls and had two caused turnovers.
- Morgan Gore and Callie Drab both also had hat tricks.
- Julia Ciufo and Riley Sturtevant each scored twice and Sophia Muscolino finished with two points on a goal and an assist.
- Kennedy Radziul tied a career high with four ground balls and Lena Stolarick added three.
- Molly Baumgratz grabbed a career-high 13 draw controls as Delaware held a 22-6 advantage in the circle.
- Steph Marszal made four saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens scored three goals in a 46-second span to jump out to a 4-1 lead early in the first quarter. Drab scored twice and E. Rishko and Ciufo both scored as J. Marszal assisted on three of the first four tallies.
- Queens cut the lead to one, but Gore scored her first of the game to give UD a 5-3 advantage after 15 minutes.
- Delaware scored the first six goals of the second quarter to take control of the game. Drab and E. Rishko both completed their hat tricks while Lulu Rishko, Sturtevant and Gore all found the back of the net.
- Ciufo put one past the goalie in the final 30 seconds to send Delaware into halftime with a 12-4 lead.
- E. Rishko, Muscolino, McKenzie Didio, and J. Marszal registered goals in the third quarter as UD extended its lead to 16-5.
- Fourth-quarter goals by J. Marszal, Gore, and Sturtevant sealed the win and the top seed.
GAME NOTES
- Delaware improved its winning streak to 10-consecutive games, the program's longest streak since winning 10-straight games between the 1999-2000 seasons
- The Blue Hens have scored at least 13 goals in 10-straight games, the longest streak in program history.
- Delaware's 22 draw controls are a new season high and are tied for the third most in program history.
- The 11 wins are the most by a UD team since the 2016 season.
- J. Marszal's 10 points are the most in a game by the Blue Hen since Mia DeRuggiero had 11 against Towson in 2019.
- J. Marszal's eight assists are tied for the third most in a single game in program history, and the most since DeRuggiero had nine against Oregon in 2019.
