University of Delaware Women's Golfers Finish Tied For Second, Amanda Terzian Fourth at CAA Championships

SOUTHPORT, N.C. -- The University of Delaware women's golf team finished in a tie for second place while Blue Hen junior Amanda Terzian placed fourth this weekend at the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championships.
The Blue Hens posted a 311 score on Friday and a 322 score on Sunday, finishing with a two-round total of 633 to tie for second place along with William & Mary. First-year league member College of Charleston captured the team title with a 618 score, advancing to the NCAA tournament. Delaware's second place finish was the highest at the league tournament in the three-year history of the program.
Terzian carded a five over par 77 on Friday before shooting a six over 78 on Sunday on the par 72, 6,066-yard Reserve Club course at St. James Plantation, finishing fourth in the individual standings with an 11 over par 77-78-155. Terzian, who was selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team, becomes the first Blue Hen in school history to finish among the top 10 at the conference championship.
Sophomore Vimonthip Benjasupawan fired a 10 over par 82 during her final round, tying for 12th place with a 15 over par score of 77-82-159. Benjasupawan posted eight pars before notching her only birdie of the day on the 18th hole.
