University of Delaware Men's Basketball Announces Tentative 2014-15 Colonial Athletic Association Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's basketball team will play 18 Colonial Athletic Association games, opening its league slate at home vs. Northeastern, as the conference announced its tentative 2014-15 schedule on Thursday.
All CAA game dates are subject to change based on television schedules. The final schedule along with television broadcast information is expected to be announced at CAA Basketball Media Day on Oct. 21.
Following 11 non-conference games, the Blue Hens will close their regular season by playing each of the other nine conference squads home and away.
Delaware will be looking to defend its CAA title after the Blue Hens finished 25-10 overall last year, claimed the league's regular season title with a 14-2 mark, and captured the first CAA championship in school history by winning the league tournament in Baltimore.
UD opens its conference schedule on Saturday, Jan. 3 with a home game against Northeastern, while two days later the Blue Hens head to Hofstra on Monday, Jan. 5. Delaware then travels south, playing at UNCW on Thursday, Jan. 8 before a road game at College of Charleston on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Delaware then opens a three-game homestand by facing Towson at the Bob Carpenter Center on Wednesday, Jan. 14. The home stretch continues on Saturday, Jan. 17 against Drexel before concluding on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in a CAA title game rematch vs. William & Mary.
Following a trip to league newcomer Elon on Saturday, Jan. 24, the Blue Hens then take on James Madison in Harrisonburg on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
Delaware opens the second half of its league slate on Saturday, Jan. 31 with a home game against College of Charleston, and remains home on Wednesday, Feb. 4 when it welcomes Hofstra to Newark.
After a road trip to Boston to face Northeastern on Saturday, Feb. 7, Delaware returns to the BCC on Wednesday, Feb. 11 to host James Madison.
The Blue Hens head to William & Mary on Saturday, Feb. 14 in a game that will be televised by NBC Sports Network. Delaware then plays its final home games of the season the following week, hosting UNCW on Thursday, Feb. 19 and Elon on Saturday, Feb. 21.
The regular season closes with a pair of local road games, as the Blue Hens head to Drexel on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and to Towson on Saturday, Feb. 28.
