University of Delaware Women's Soccer Looks To Remain Unbeaten With Friday Home Match vs. St. John?s

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women's soccer team will look to remain unbeaten on Friday when the Blue Hens host St. John's at 5 p.m. at Suzanne & Stuart Grant Stadium.
Delaware is 2-0 on the young season after posting a 3-2 win over Monmouth last Friday and a 1-0 shutout of Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday.
Blue Hen senior midfielder Andi Arnold paced the team with three assists last week, and was named to the CS360 Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll on Wednesday. Rachel Vaccaro, Natalie Zelenky and Emily Market scored the UD goals during the season-opening win over the Hawks, while Maddie Brosler found the back of the net for the only goal vs. the Red Flash.
Goalkeeper Kailyn Rekos earned the victory in net during the Monmouth victory, while Jess Figueroa made three saves to record the shutout at Saint Francis (Pa.).
St. John's is 1-1 so far this year, as the Red Storm opened its season with a 3-0 triumph over Saint Francis (Pa.) last Friday before dropping a 2-1 verdict at Army on Monday.
St. John's has won three of the previous four meetings between the schools, including last season's 2-1 victory over the Blue Hens in Queens.
