DANBURY, Conn – University of Delaware junior Joe Dipre earned his second award of the week as the midfielder was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Player of the Week.
The Betchworth, England (London Freeman's School) native tallied two game-winning goals last week as the Blue Hens were able to defeat Seton Hall and St. Peter's to move their record to 6-0 and match the best start in program history.
Dipre scored from 30 yards out in the 73rd minute as the Blue Hens triumphed over Seton Hall Wednesday and netted a goal from 15 yards away early in the second half in the 2-1 victory over St. Peter's Sunday.
The junior has scored a goal in four consecutive games and is currently second on the team in goals (four), shots (17) and points (nine).
Dipre shared the weekly honor with Cornell's Conor Goepel and Virginia Commonwealth's Devon Fisher.
The Blue Hens, who are now No. 11 in the most recent NSCAA poll, will next be in action this weekend as UD heads west to take on a pair of ranked Pac 12 opponents in California and Stanford. The Golden Bears are ranked No. 15 in this week's poll, while the Cardinal come in at No. 24.
