Blue Hen Women's Golfers Tied For First Place, Rachel Lee Second After First Day of Tignanelli Towson Invitational

PHOENIX, Md. -- The University of Delaware women's golf squad is tied for the team lead while freshman Rachel Lee is tied for second place in the individual standings on Sunday following the opening round of the Tignanelli Towson Invitational.
The Blue Hens, who are looking to defend their 2013 team title, are tied with Towson as both the Blue Hens and Tigers posted 303 team scores on Sunday. Fairfield sits in third place at 309, while Saint Francis (Pa.) and LIU Brooklyn are tied for fourth with 310 scores.
Making her Blue Hen debut, Lee carded a two over par 74 on the par 72, 6,619-yard course at the Towson Golf & Country Club to finish the day one shot back of leader Mallory Cortis of Saint Francis. UD junior Nathalie Filler, playing as an individual, is tied for fifth place after she fired a three over par 75.
