STORYLINES
• After a three-game homestand, the Blue Hens play the first of two straight road games on Saturday with a 7 p.m. contest at CAA newcomer Elon.
• Tonight's game is just the second all-time meeting between Delaware and Elon. The Phoenix posted a 45-23 victory over the Blue Hens in Newark on Feb. 8, 1934.
• Tonight's game features the top three freshmen scorers in the CAA. Elon's Elijah Bryant leads all league newcomers with 13.9 points per game. Blue Hen rookie Kory Holden is second in the CAA with a 13.5 scoring average, while teammate Chivarsky Corbett ranks third with 8.6 points per outing.
• Delaware is coming off an impressive 84-80 victory over William & Mary on Wednesday, as the Blue Hens rallied from a 17-point first half deficit. UD was still down 16 with 14:33 left, but scored the next 13 points to get back in the game.
• Delaware shot a season-high 55.9 percent from the field during the victory, including 20 of 29 (69.0%) during the second half.
• Kory Holden scored a team-high 24 points and dished out nine assists while committing just one turnover. Holden has now scored at least 24 points in four of his last eight games, averaging 16.5 points during that stretch. He is the first UD freshman in school history to record four games of at least 24 points.
• Kyle Anderson scored a season-high 23 points during the win, tied for the third highest scoring game of his career.
