Blue Hens Close Out Home Schedule This Weekend vs. Elon, William & Mary

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women's soccer team will host their final home games of the season this weekend against Elon and William & Mary at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium.
UD will take on Elon Friday at 7 p.m., before facing William and Mary Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day. Alison Slark, Elise Krause, Emily Market, Maddy Parker and Kelsey O'Donnell will be honored in a pregame ceremony prior to playing their final regular season match in Newark.
Live stats will be available for both matches, while Friday's match vs. the Phoenix will be live streamed at bluehens.com.
The Blue Hens enter the weekend at 6-6-2 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play, and will be wrapping up a five-match homestand. Delaware defeated Drexel last Friday, 1-0, to snap a five-match winless streak. Krause recorded her first assist of the season when she fed Natalie Zelenky for her 17th career goal in the 58th minute to give the Hens the victory.
Zelenky currently ranks third in the Colonial Athletic Association with nine goals and 19 points this year, while Riley Curtin leads UD with five assists on the campaign.
Elon enters Friday's match with a record of 9-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play following a 2-0 victory over College of Charleston during its home finale. Samantha Burch and Tori Ballatico lead the Phoenix with four goals and one assist apiece, while goalkeeper Taylor Mohr is tied for third in the CAA with five shutouts.
William and Mary, which is 9-3-1 overall and 3-1 in the league, is also coming off a win on its Senior Day against UNCW and will face Drexel on Friday before taking on the Hens. Goalkeeper Caroline Casey, the current CAA Player of the Week, leads the CAA with a 0.68 goals against average, an .873 save percentage and six shutouts. Samantha Cordum paces the Tribe with seven goals and 16 points, while Nicole Baxter has dished out a team-leading five assists.
William & Mary leads the all-time series with UD, 11-2-3, and has won the last two meetings between the schools. The Phoenix is 1-0-1 vs. the Blue Hens, and posted a 2-0 shutout over Delaware last year in Elon.
