Blue Hen Senior Andi Slane Named CAA Women's Golfer of the Week

Andi Slane was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her impressive victory over the weekend at the Rutgers Invitational.
Slane (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) recorded a two-shot victory with a six over par 75-74-73-222 on the par 72, 6,041-yard Rutgers University Golf Course to earn medalist honors for the second time in her career.
Slane, who also captured the CAA title last spring, has been the Blue Hens' low scorer and has placed among the top five individuals during all three tournaments in which she has competed this fall, averaging 74.11 shots per round.
Slane helped lead the Blue Hens to the Rutgers Invitational team title as well, as Delaware captured its fifth victory in school history with a 923 three-round score.
Delaware concludes its 2015 fall season this weekend when the Blue Hens host the third annual Delaware Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
