Delaware Back on the Road Sunday at CAA Leader James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team will face a stiff challenge on Sunday when the Blue Hens head south for a 3 p.m. match against CAA leading James Madison at Sinclair Gymnasium.
Delaware has won two consecutive matches to improve to 11-11 overall, and the Blue Hens currently reside in sixth place in the league standings with a 3-6 conference mark. UD posted a four-set home victory over Northeastern on Sunday, before a thrilling 3-2 comeback win at Towson on Wednesday.
Autumn Jenkins paced the Blue Hens against the Tigers with a match-high 17 kills to go with 12 digs as she posted her team-leading ninth double-double of the season, while Katie Hillman contributed 15 kills and a career-high 18 digs. Chandler Bryant added 14 kills during the victory, while Julia Anderson and Ariel Shonk established season-highs of 54 assists and 38 digs, respectively.
James Madison is 19-4 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the CAA heading into its home match on Saturday night vs. Elon. The Dukes, who have won 12 consecutive matches entering the weekend, currently hold a two-game lead in the race to host the league tournament. Janey Goodman leads JMU and the conference with 4.37 kills per set, while Kelly Robertson ranks fourth in the league with a .325 hitting percentage. Sarah Patterson is second in the league with 10.30 assists per set while Taylor Austin is also second with a 4.91 digs average, behind only Shonk at 5.31.
JMU recorded a three-set victory over the Blue Hens on Sept. 25 in the teams' first matchup this season, and the Dukes have won five of the last seven meetings with Delaware.
