CAA Tabs Todd Morton Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – The Colonial Athletic Association announced Monday that Delaware goalie Todd Morton (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was named the league's Rookie of the Week.
Ian HennessyMorton tallied 11 saves to help the Hens go 1-0-1 against a pair of nationally ranked opponents last week.
The freshman came up with four saves as Delaware knocked off No. 20 Maryland, 2-1, last Wednesday for the first time in program history. He then stopped seven shots as UD (7-6-3, 3-2-1) battled No. r/v UNCW to a 1-1 double overtime draw to clinch a berth in the CAA Men's Soccer Championship.
Through nine matches this season, Morton is ranked 24th nationally with a 0.73 GAA and 13th with a save percentage of .837.
Jackson Eskay (William & Mary) and Khesanio Hall (Northeastern) shared CAA Player of the Week accolades.
Delaware wraps regular season action this week by hosting James Madison Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to William & Mary for a 7 p.m. Saturday matchup.
