Blue Hens Earn No. 6 Seed in CAA Tournament, Face Northeastern Saturday in Quarterfinals

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The University of Delaware men's basketball team has earned the sixth seed in the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament and will face Northeastern in the Quarterfinals on Saturday.
The Blue Hens (10-19, 9-9 CAA) will battle the third-seeded Huskies (20-11, 12-6 CAA) Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore during the last quarterfinal matchup of the day. The teams split two regular season meetings this year, as Northeastern recorded a 72-53 win in Newark on Jan. 3 before Delaware posted a 73-68 triumph in Boston on Feb. 7.
The two schools met in the 2014 CAA Tournament Semifinals, with the Blue Hens defeating the Huskies, 87-74, en route to the championship.
No. 8 seed Elon and No. 9 seed Towson will open the tournament on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by No. 7 seed Drexel facing No. 10 seed College of Charleston at 8:30 p.m.
Top-seeded William & Mary will take on the winner of the Elon/Towson game in Saturday's first quarterfinal at 12 noon, while No. 4 seed James Madison and No. 5 seed Hofstra will play at 2:30 p.m. Second-seeded UNCW will face the Drexel/College of Charleston winner at 6 p.m., before the Blue Hens and Huskies wrap up the day at 8:30 p.m.
The semifinals will take place on Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m., while Monday's championship game begins at 7 p.m.
All four quarterfinal games will be televised by the Comcast SportsNet family of networks as well as several other regional outlets. The semifinals and championship game will be broadcast nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Friday's first round games will be available online at CAA.TV
CAA Tournament tickets are available at the Royal Farms Arena box office or by calling TicketMaster at (800) 745-3000. Blue Hen fans can also purchase tickets through the Delaware Ticket Office, in person at the BCC box office or by phone at (302) 831-2257. Individual session tickets range from $20 to $50, while championship books range from $80 to $200.
