Courtni Green Earns CAA All-Tournament Team Honors

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – University of Delaware women's basketball junior Courtni Green (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) was named Sunday to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Tournament Team for her efforts during this past weekend's conference tournament.
In three games for the Blue Hens, Green averaged 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 assists in addition to shooting .455 (15-for-33) from the field and .941 (16-of-17) from the charity stripe. The guard also went .500 (6-for-12) from behind the arc.
Green led Delaware (15-17) this season with 14.2 points per game and finished the year second in UD single-season history with 58 3-pointers. Last season, she notched 56 for the Blue Hens.
Delaware, the No. 7 seed in the post-season tournament, advanced to the CAA semifinals for the sixth straight season after defeating No. 10 Northeastern, 73-61, and then upsetting No. 2 Drexel, 55-48.
The Blue Hens were then denied a fifth consecutive finals appearance after falling to No. 3 Hofstra, 45-42, Saturday.
Top-seeded James Madison defended its CAA title Sunday afternoon with a 62-56 win over the Pride.
Other All-Tournament Team performers include JMU's Precious Hall and Lauren Okafor and Hofstra's Elo Edeferioka and Krystal Luciano. The Dukes' Jazmon Gwathmey collected Most Outstanding Performer accolades.
