Lisa Stacevicz Earns CAA Softball Co-Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior Lisa Stacevicz was named the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Co-Player of the Week on Monday following her outstanding play during the Blue Hens' six games last week.
Stacevicz (Cedar Grove, N.J./Cedar Grove) went 11 for 18 for a .611 batting average last week, leading the Blue Hens with seven doubles, seven RBI, a 1.167 slugging percentage and a .632 on base percentage. She has hit safely in each of the last eight contests, notching five multi-hit games and eight doubles in that span.
Stacevicz ripped an RBI double during last Monday's opener against Cornell, before adding a double and the game-winning home run in the 5-4 victory during the nightcap. She had a double in the first game vs. Morgan State on Wednesday, and finished 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI in the second contest.
Stacevicz went 2 for 4 with a run-scoring double in the 4-3 victory over Drexel during Sunday's CAA opener, before adding two doubles and a pair of RBI in the nightcap.
Stacevicz, who earned the first CAA Player of the Week award for her career, is currently batting .533 on the year with a .900 slugging percentage and a .563 on base percentage. She shared CAA weekly honors with Carey Million of Elon, who also went 11 for 18 on the week.
Delaware continues its homestand on Wednesday when the Blue Hens host Lehigh in a 3 p.m. non-conference doubleheader at the UD Softball Stadium.
