Hale Honored as Corvias ECAC Division I South Defensive Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. – University of Delaware sophomore Kirsten Hale (Wayne, Pa./Great Valley) was named the Corvias ECAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 22.
Earlier this week, Hale was also named the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week.
Hale helped lockdown #rv Towson and George Washington in two wins last week for the Blue Hens. She tallied six groundballs, four caused turnovers, and three draw controls to hold opponents to a combined nine goals.
The midfielder is currently third for #rv Delaware (7-3) with 15 groundballs, fifth with six caused turnovers and sixth with six draw controls.
William & Mary's Ellen Saffrey earned ECAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades while UMBC's Marissa Davey was tabbed the Rookie of the Week.
The Blue Hens return to the turf tonight at Canisius before traveling to #11 Princeton Saturday.
