Delaware Women's Golfers Finish Second at Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware women's golf team finished in second place while three Blue Hens placed among the top six individuals as UD posted an impressive showing this week at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
Delaware carded a 310 score on Tuesday to finish with a three-round total of 918, finishing one shot behind team champion Eastern Michigan. The Tribe placed third at 921, while Delaware's “B” team finished in 11th place out of 16 squads with a 976 score.
Blue Hen senior Amanda Terzian shot a six over par 78 on the par 72, 5,962-yard Plantation Course at Kingsmill Resort, finishing in second place with a nine over par total of 75-72-78-225. Terzian finished behind only Alessandra Liu of William & Mary, who captured medalist honors with a three over par 72-71-76-219.
Andi Slane and Rachel Lee each carded three over par 75 rounds on Tuesday, as both players finished tied for fourth place in the standings. Slane recorded a 12 over par 76-77-75-228, while Lee was also 12 over par at 79-74-75-228.Nathalie Filler tied for 13th place with her 15 over par score of 76-76-79-231, while Vimonthip Benjasupawan carded an 18 over par 75-81-78-234 to finish in a tie for 18th place.
Vitoria Teixeira tied for 34th place with a 26 over par 79-83-80-242 while Annie Bowlsby, playing as an individual, also tied for 34th after carding a 26 over par 83-73-86-242.
Emma Sills placed 59th with a 36 over par 85-85-82-252. Marie Bogenez tied for 63rd place after carding a 38 over par 86-83-85-254 at the tournament, while Baralee Theinthong tied for 68th place with a 39 over par 86-89-80-255.Delaware returns to action on Apr. 11-12 when the Blue Hens compete in the River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW.
