STORYLINES
• Delaware looks to begin its CAA title defense on Saturday when the sixth-seeded Blue Hens take on third-seeded Northeastern at 8:30 p.m. in the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals at Royal Farms Arena.
• Tonight's game is the sixth postseason meeting between Delaware and Northeastern. The Blue Hens have won four of the previous five, including last season's 87-74 verdict in the CAA Semifinals.
• Delaware leads the all-time series with the Huskies, 27-20, and the teams split their two regular season meetings this year. Northeastern posted a 72-53 win in Newark on Jan. 3, before the Blue Hens recorded a 73-68 win in Boston on Feb. 7.
• Delaware is 4-6 in its 10 CAA Quarterfinal games. The Blue Hens have won two straight quarterfinal games, both coming over Hofstra. Last season UD posted an 87-76 win over the Pride in the quarterfinals
• UD finished 9-9 in the CAA regular season, finishing with a conference record of .500 or better for the fourth consecutive year. The Blue Hens' 48 CAA regular season victories over the last four seasons are six more than any other team in the league.
• Delaware started 1-11 on the road this season, but has won its last four games away from the Bob Carpenter Center.
• Kyle Anderson was named third team All-CAA while Kory Holden and Chivarsky Corbett represented UD on the CAA All-Rookie Team announced Thursday.
• Anderson needs 19 more points to reach 1,300 for his career.
