CAA Championships - Day 2

Blue Hens Remain Third, Slane Second Following Second Day of CAA Championship

Delaware carded a 299 score on Saturday after its 303 round on Friday, finishing the day with a two-round score of 602. College of Charleston fired a 290 during Saturday's round to take the lead with a 592 score, while Elon is one shot back at 593. Delaware holds a commanding 12-shot advantage over William & Mary, which sits in fourth place at 614.
Slane recorded her second consecutive one under par round of 71 on the par 72, 6,066-yard Reserve Club course at St. James Plantation, ending the day in second place at two under par. She trails only Heather Monro of Elon, who leads the field with a three under par 71-70-141. Slane completed the front nine in two under for the second straight day with birdies on 4 and 5, before concluding her round with a birdie on 17 and a par on 18.
Junior Nathalie Filler fired a three over par 75 during her round on Saturday, and is tied for 11th place with an eight over par 77-75-152. Senior Amanda Terzian, who also carded a 75, is tied for 15th place at 79-75-154, 10 over par.
UD freshman Rachel Lee fired a 78 during the day and enters Sunday's round tied for 18th place with an 11 over par score of 77-78-155. Junior Vimonthip Benjasupawan, who shot a 79, is tied for 21st place with a 13 over par 78-79-157.
The final round of the tournament will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
