Blue Hens Fall To Elon, 3-2, in Second Consecutive Five-Set Thriller

Bonnie Kenny said of the redshirt sophomore, who had two kills on the season before contributing seven on the night. “We got our middles involved, and we've got to get them the ball more when they're hitting at that percentage. We were really efficient and didn't make many mistakes other than our serving, and we really battled. We just didn't have an answer for (Ebony) Scott and (Sydney) Busa, who attack the ball like pin hitters should.”
The Blue Hens will look to quickly bounce back when Delaware hosts the College of Charleston Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Match Notes:
• The Blue Hens had four players reach double figure kills for the second straight match
• Hollingsworth eclipsed the 1,300-digs mark
• Bellinger recorded her third double-double in the last four matches
• Delaware held a slim 10-8 block advantage
• Elon defeated Delaware for the first time in five tries since joining the CAA
