Blue Hens Back Home This Weekend To Host William & Mary, James Madison

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team returns to the Bob Carpenter Center this weekend to host William & Mary and James Madison in a pair of Colonial Athletic Association matches.
The Blue Hens will take on the Tribe on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Dukes on Sunday at 1 p.m., with live video and live stats available for both matches.
Delaware enters the weekend with a 6-13 overall record including an 0-6 mark in conference play, as the Blue Hens are attempting to snap an eight-match losing skid. Freshman Maria Bellinger leads the team with 2.65 kills per set while Autumn Jenkins, who surpassed the 800-kills mark for her career at Northeastern on Monday, ranks second with a 2.14 kills average. Alexa Swann is hitting a team-best .263 on the year to go with a conference-high 81 blocks, while Taylor Hollingsworth ranks fourth in the league with 4.68 digs per set.
William & Mary brings an 8-11 overall record into Friday's match, and the Tribe is 2-4 in the CAA after defeating Charleston and UNCW last weekend. Sydney Biniak (3.14) and Casey Foote (3.09) rank seventh and eighth in the conference respectively in kills per set, while Sara Zumbach leads the team with a 4.33 digs average.
James Madison is 11-8 overall and 3-3 in the conference heading into the Dukes' match at Towson on Friday. JMU split a pair of league contests last weekend, defeating UNCW before falling to Charleston. Janey Goodman leads the CAA with 4.26 kills per set, while Taylor Gail leads the league with 1.18 blocks per set and Taylor Austin is posting a conference-high 5.56 digs per set.
Delaware leads the all-time series with William & Mary, 21-14, although the Tribe swept both meetings a year ago. The Blue Hens also hold a slim 26-23 edge over James Madison, but the Dukes have taken the last three matchups in the series.
